Notes & History:
	• William H. Webb endowed Webb Institute; created 1888, it opened in 1894.
	• Webb's Academy and Home for Shipbuilders through 1919.
	• Webb Institute of Naval Architecture from 1920.
	• Three-year degrees until 1909, 4-year degrees from 1910; B.S. degree program began in 1933.
	· Webb Institute was located at Fordham Road, Sedgewick Avenue and Webb Avenue, in Kingsbridge, The Bronx.
	· Webb Institute moved to Glen Cove on January 15, 1947. The new location was formerly “the Braes,” former estate of Herbert Lee Pratt.
