Notes:
   •Home field- Army Base Reservation Field, Bayside, 216th Street & 12th Avenue.

   •Willet's Point is the land that was later called Fort Totten, in the Whitestone section of Queens County. on Long Island Sound. Deeded to William Thorne 1640.

   •Named after Charles Willet, who died 1832 and is buried within the fort.
   •1821 Coastal Defense Survey says property useful.
   •1857 purchased for a military base. Star shape fort with a 600 foot vehicular tunnel, the first in NY, designed by chief engineer Colonel Joseph Totten.
   •The Civil War made the fort obsolete.

   •After the war, 1865, it became a school for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, started as "Essayons Club."
   •The school moved, transfered in 1901 to Washington Barracks, Fort McNair, D.C.; Engineers Depot closed 1902.

   •101st Co., CAC 1901-1917; 54th Co, CAC 1901-1909; 87th Co., CAC 1901-1916; 114th Co, CAC 1901-1917.
   •Eastern Artillary District, N.Y. 1906; HQ Coast Defense of Eastern N.Y. & HQ Atlantic Division 1913,

   •Taken over by Coastal Artillery from 1922. First radar on east coast, held Nike missiles during the Cold War.
